Please join Dr. Laura Mitchell of UHD's Urban Education department to explore ways we can take care of ourselves and others through breathing/mindfulness movements. SEL*F (Social Emotional Learning and Facilitation) is well grounded in theory and practice. It provides goals and objectives to become more self-aware of our own state of being in order self-manage our personal and professional lives. Be ready to do some simple movements either standing or sitting on the floor or chair. We encourage you to have a journal/paper, pens/markers to express creativity as we move through the process of taking care of ourselves and others.
