University of Houston Downtown's American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is pre-medical student organization that provides its entire chapter with opportunities that a pre-medical student needs when aiming to become a medical doctor. Our AMSA organization thrives on creating a healthy environment for Pre-Medical students and other health professions alike by choosing community over competition.

Membership Benefits
Join an organization tailored for pre-medical and pre-health students. We offer opportunities for members to build their core competencies in pursuit of education goals. This includes: mentoring, volunteer opportunities, faculty advisement, workshops, conferences, meetings, MCAT prepatory materials and more.
