Hello UHD Drama Students,

The Center for Latino Studies invites UHD faculty and students to attend the Alley Theatre’s production of Real Women Have Curves.

Event Details

⏰ Time: 10:00 AM

The visit will include a talk with the translation team, a Q&A with the cast, and a pizza lunch.

If you are interested in attending as a student, please complete the release and indemnification form using DocuSign and email it back to Albert DeJesus-Rivera by Thursday morning.

Sisterhood, Resilience, and Self-Acceptance

This vivacious comedy, which inspired the hit film, follows five Latina women navigating the pressures of body image, immigration, and cultural expectations. As they work to meet an impossible deadline, the women reveal their hopes and struggles. Experience the warmth and laughter in the beauty of embracing who you are.
 


The run time is 2 hours, including one intermission.

In this community centered comedy, audiences can expect language, minor violence, partial nudity, discussion of sexual situations, and mentions of domestic violence.

Flashing lights, moving lights, and haze will be used during the performance.

No photos or video recording of the performance will be permitted.
