Spring 2026 Drama Student Council Openings & Elections

Dear UHD Drama Interest Members,

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits as we approach the holiday season. We are excited to announce that there are openings on the Drama Student Council for Spring 2026!

The following positions are open:

  • Vice President – Assists the President, helps lead meetings and initiatives, and supports council projects and events.

  • Secretary – Keeps meeting notes, manages council communications, and helps organize important documents and announcements.

  • Treasurer – Oversees council funds, tracks expenses, and assists with budgeting for events and activities.

If you are interested in running, please email me your theatre bio and a recent headshot to be included in the election announcements that will go out in January.

🗳 Election Timeline

  • Elections open: January 12

  • Elections close: January 19

Please note that all nominees will hold a place on the council, whether or not they are elected to an official leadership position. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute, collaborate, and help shape the future of our drama community.

Thank you for your continued dedication and for contributing to the vibrant culture of creativity within UHD Drama. We truly appreciate your passion and involvement.

GatorServe is a UHD tradition that brings together UHD students, staff, faculty, alum, friends, families, and community partners to complete projects in service of our neighbors. GatorServe is held on both Martin Luther King Jr. Day and September 11th as they are National Days of Service.

This semester, UHD is partnering with HISD's Houston Promise Program to help at Dogan Elementary. We will be deep cleaning classrooms, pressure washing, painting, and doing some community clean up. Volunteers will be able to choose from this selection of indoor and outdoor opportunities to have a wide range of volunteer options. Tools and training will be provided by volunteer leads.

Dogan Elementary is located at 4202 Liberty Rd, Houston, TX 77026, just a few minutes from UHD. Ample parking is available but carpooling is encouraged to reduce congestion.

Important Registration Information
When registering, select only one option. Multiple registrations will be deleted. 
Members of the UHD community should log in using their UHD credentials rather than creating a guest account. 
Only pre-approved volunteers may select the Event Hospitality / Lead registration option. Unapproved registrations will be deleted.

UHD Drama Group will be hosting an Improv night as our first student produced show. We encourage all members to attend and join us for a night of fun and friends. NO experience needed and open to all UHD Students, Staff and Faculty.
