📰 Beta Kappa Highlights – September 2025

Gamma Iota Sigma Beta Kappa has had an exciting and impactful month exploring the insurance and risk management industry!

📍 Industry Engagement
We attended the ICT Symposium and the Houston Marine & Energy Insurance Conference, gaining insights and building strong connections with professionals across the field.

 

🌎 GIS Annual Conference
Our chapter also participated in the GIS Annual Conference in Hartford, TX, where we explored industry trends, attended workshops, and networked with leaders shaping the future of insurance.

📢 Membership Awareness & Professional Development

We’re committed to creating awareness around free student memberships with organizations like CPCU, RIMS, URMIA, Young Risk Professionals (YRP) and others, as well as the certification pathways available to help you grow professionally.

🎓 Campus Visit & Scholarship Opportunity
We were honored to host Rich Johnson from The Insurance Council of Texas, who introduced the ICT Scholarship—now open for applications!

Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000 per student!

  • Four - $5,000 awards
  • Eight - $2,500 awards
  • Twenty-Five - $1,000 awards

This Opportunity is open to both Undergrad and Graduate students aimed at P&C.
