Eligibility Criteria:
The NAMIC Mutual Insurance Foundation Scholarship is specifically designed for undergraduate students who plan to pursue a career related to the insurance industry. The NAMIC Mutual Insurance Foundation Scholarship is looking for dedicated individuals in need of additional funds to complete their studies and join the thousands of insurance professionals serving mutual property/casualty policyholders. Students receiving FULL reimbursement for the expenses of tuition, books, etc. from any outside source, such as FAFSA, PELL, or employer are not eligible.

Requirements:

• A candidate for a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science or will be pursuing a career in mutual property/casualty insurance after completion of degree
• Attending a U.S. college or university in the fall of year of application deadline
• U.S. citizen and seeking employment in North America upon graduation
• Two letters of recommendation
• 500-word essay describing chosen career path and goals
• Copy of transcripts
• Authorization from the dean, department head, and/or an authorized school representative
