Important Update: TUMC 2026 Free Hotel Room Deadline Extended to Oct 16 & Schedule Announced!
Dear UHD Mathematics Members,
Great news for anyone planning and still want to attend the Texas Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (TUMC 2026) at SFA on November 6–7, 2026!
Whether you have a research project to present or simply want to attend talks, network, and enjoy the experience, everyone is welcome—no presentation required!
The conference organizers have shared some major updates regarding deadlines, lodging, and the event schedule:
Updated Deadlines:

Free Hotel Room Deadline Extended: Students who have missed the original deadline have been extended to register by 5:00 PM on October 16th and will have their hotel room fully paid for by the conference!

Abstract Submission Deadline: If you're interested in giving a talk or presenting a poster, abstract submissions are open until October 26th.

Travel Support: The organizing committee will be coordinating travel support allocations soon, so registering earlier gives you a better chance to qualify

Affordable Registration: Student registration is only $5.

Travel with UHD: I will be attending along with Dr. Tecarro (our Math Club faculty advisor) and other UHD math faculty members!

Career & Grad School Info: Meet directly with representatives from graduate programs and explore career pathways in mathematics.

Complete your registration on the MAA Texas Section website before October 16th at 5:00 PM to secure your free hotel room.
