Houston Food Bank Volunteering
Registration
Registration is now closed (this event already took place).
Details
We will meet at the Houston Food Bank on Sunday, November 23rd at 8:30am. Our volunteer shift will be from 9am-12pm. The Food Bank is located at 535 Portwall St, Houston, TX 77029.

Arrive on-time or early for shift: It is vital that volunteers arrive on time (or up to 15 minutes early) for the scheduled shift to ensure HFB’s operations run smoothly and our volunteers remain safe. Please be aware that if a volunteer arrives late for the shift, then HFB staff may ask you to reschedule for another day/shift; or you may not be able to join your group. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Importance of Online Volunteer Registration:
Registering online saves the Houston Food Bank the time, printing materials and money required to print/manage/reconcile accurate volunteer numbers from the thousands of paper waiver pages that we currently accumulate each month. Spending 5 minutes registering means more meals are available for our community.
Refreshments for Individual Purchase: HFB continues to offer free water, tea, and coffee in our lobby; food and drinks for purchase in the Texans Café and Starbucks Coffee Bar; and there are vending machines (located down a hallway near the main project area entrance) with various snacks for purchase (proceeds from vending machines support our onsite H.E.A.R.T students’ education).
