About Us

The purpose of the UHD Philosophy Club is to provide an informal environment where students and faculty can come together to converse about philosophical topics. Each of our meetings will include open discussions to facilitate an atmosphere for exploring philosophical questions. We believe philosophical discourse in a relaxed setting will foster an interest in philosophy for a lifetime. The UHD Philosophy Club functions under the direction of the University of Houston-Downtown Philosophy Department and members of the Phi Sigma Tau Philosophy Honor Society.
