Welcome to the Accelerated Transfer Academy!

After reviewing your credentials, we are excited to extend an invitation to you to join the Accelerated Transfer Academy (ATA) here at the University of Houston-Downtown! Based on your academic profile, you are an ideal candidate for the ATA.

On average, students in the ATA program earn a higher GPA and earn more credit hours in their first semester than other new transfer students. Our students are also more likely to re-enroll at UHD for a second year than other similar new transfer students.

Students in the ATA program enroll in a free, zero-credit course (ATA 3099) that helps prepare you for your future career, have access to a dedicated Academic Success Coach and Peer Mentor, and have the opportunity to participate in Career Learning Communities (CLCs) with other students who are interested in your career field.

You can look forward to a holistic support system including career development, academic support, and financial assistance through book vouchers and scholarship opportunities as you pursue your degree at UHD. Get ready to get involved around campus, meet other new gators in the ATA, and develop on-campus or virtual relationships with your professors and staff that will prepare you for success at UHD and beyond!

• Get help navigating UHD new transfer student resources,
• Sign up for ATA summer activities to get to know other transfer students and the ATA staff, and
• Officially join the ATA program for fall 2021.
