2021 TEx Conference

We are in need of volunteers for our upcoming 2021 TEx Conference that will be held on Friday, August 20th on campus at UHD. As a volunteer, you will be expected to help out during the entire time of 9 am to 3:30 pm doing various tasks. To sign up to volunteer, contact success coach Andrew Kotchavar at kotchavara@uhd.edu.

TechConnect

Council Member Karla Cisneros' TechConnect Program helps bridge the digital divide for kids living in District H by hiring neighborhood youth to support younger neighborhood children by teaching technology and STEM, implementing library programming, and promoting literacy. The program is now hiring youth between the ages of 16 and 24 to work from September 13, 2021, until May 12, 2022. Did you know that there's a tunnel system underneath downtown Houston?

Downtown's "underground" is a system of tunnels 20 feet below Houston's downtown streets and more than 6 miles long. Having started out years ago as a tunnel between two downtown movie theaters, today it includes restaurants and service retail and connects 95 city blocks.

Join us for a fun adventure through downtown Houston's tunnels!
