2022 TEx Conference

ATA is excited to present our virtual TEx Conference which will be held on Tuesday, October 18th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM as a part of National Transfer Student Week (NTSW). In addition to gaining some great information and key takeaways, students who participate in the conference will have a chance to win some great prizes like UHD bookstore vouchers, UHD swag, and more! Homecoming 2022: Back to the Bayou

The theme for this year’s Homecoming Week is “Back to the Bayou” symbolizing our return to campus. The campus community has collaborated to develop a jam-packed week of events including newly added events for 2022 - UHD Talent Show, Stroll competition, as well as a Friday Night Formal called MORP (Prom spelled backwards). A complete schedule of campus events is available on UHD’s Homecoming webpage (www.uhd.edu/homecoming).

UHD and H-E-B are hosting a COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Clinic for the UHD community and public from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Be sure to wear a mask to your apppointment.

Join the Fun @ National Night Out - Oct. 4th

The University of Houston-Downtown Police Department (UHDPD) is hosting the 2022 National Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, on the south deck of UHD’s One Main Complex, One Main Street. 

The goal of the national event, held annually on the first Tuesday of October, is to promote police-community partnerships. UHDPD also hopes to promote community support and raise awareness of resources available to UHD and Houston communities. 

Hispanic Heritage Month Events

This year’s National Hispanic Heritage Month, “Celebrating the Past, Claiming the Future,” recognizes the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Check out the list of events and plan to attend one or more in honor of this important month-long celebration. Please check times and dates on the UHD Events Calendar closer to each event, as some may change.
