National Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is celebrated each year, one week before Thanksgiving. It creates awareness about the big problem the less fortunate face in society.

UHD is calling for the Gator community to pack 20,000 meals in two hours! With your help, we can make this happen. Join this meal-packing experience in the movement to end hunger. It will be held on Thursday, November 17 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm in A300.

Election Day: November 8, 2022

Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. Voting in midterm elections can have just as big of an impact on the country as the presidential election. All who are eligible to vote should do so! Your voice is your VOTE!

Changing the Trajectory: Black & Brown Enterprise & Entrepreneurship

The Dean of Student Life Office is partnering with Alliance Bernstein and Pleasant Hill Church of Deliverance to host Changing the Trajectory, a networking and business conference on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 5:00 PM. This event is open to the community and designed to expand our thinking, unlock opportunities, and close the wealth gap in black and brown communities.

Attendees can expect to engage with industry leaders such as Russell Ybarra, owner of Gringos, Jimmy Changas & Bullritos restaurant chain. Sandra Heard, owner of Prime Waste Solutions, James Thompson, Senior Vice President and head of Diverse Market Strategies at Alliance Bernstein Private Wealth Management, and more!

Applications for our exclusive scholarships are now OPEN! Visit the ATA Scholarships page to view the list of available scholarships, eligibility requirements, and to apply. Once you open the page, click on the right or left arrows on the image to view the information. The application is the same for all scholarships; you will need to choose which ATA scholarship are you applying for on the first page of the application. 

All scholarship applications are due by Friday, December 2nd at 11:59 PM.
