The last two years have brought about impactful change, loss, and difficult circumstances for students, staff, and faculty alike. To combat the negative impacts of stress and to create a community of healing related to coping with the events of the last few years, the Accelerated Transfer Academy and the UHD Social Work program will be hosting a series of mindfulness sessions that will allow students, staff, and faculty to come together to focus on our well-being and build greater resilience as a community. The sessions will be called "Mindfulness Mondays," and will take place in-person and virtually Monday mornings from 9:15-9:45. They will occur for 4 consecutive weeks and will be centered on a specific theme. The first 4-week session will focus on "Self-Compassion."
