UHD MiniServe- Volunteer Event

Join UHD's first MiniServe at the Nature Discovery Center volunteering at the 2026 Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival, Volunteer service is more than giving your time—it is an opportunity to connect with Houston, meet other Gators, develop leadership and professional skills, and make a meaningful impact in our community. 

Here’s a quick guide to get you ready:

What You’ll Do:
Roles vary based on event needs and may include helping with set-up, checking in guests, pumpkin and concessions sales, crafts, pumpkin loading (curbside), games, kids’ activities, guest engagement, or light clean-up. Your coordinator will assign your role when you arrive.

Saturday, October 17th

Shift Times:
9:30 am – 12:30 pm
12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
2:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Check-In:
Location: Henshaw House (front room, north end of the park)
Arrival: 10–15 minutes before your shift

Parking:
Free street parking (please don’t block driveways)
NDC lots closed; carpooling encouraged

What to Wear & Bring:
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes
Refillable water bottle
Snacks if staying multiple shifts
