Guest Speakers - Carolyn Whiteman

Carolyn Whiteman is the Chief Human Resources Officer, North America, for ENGIE, where she leads the people and organizational strategy across the company’s North American operations.

Prior to joining ENGIE, Carolyn served as Head of Talent Acquisition at LyondellBasell. Previously, she was Senior Director of Human Resources supporting the Intermediates and Derivatives, Refining, Supply Chain and Circularity, and Low Carbon Solutions organizations. Earlier in her career, Carolyn served as Global Head of HR for Alcon’s Vision Care and Aseptics business and held a variety of global HR leadership roles at Shell Oil and Ingersoll Rand, supporting diverse business units and organizations across the globe.
Carolyn holds a Master’s degree in Labor and Employment Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.
