Why did you join PAS? I joined PAS to help other students like me. There is so many opportunities and information we don’t know about until we connect with professionals. PAS has truly let me step out of my comfort and has helped developed skills. Without PAS I wouldn’t know what Accounting truly is. I received an internship with Melton and Melton for spring of 2026. Brought my company to speak to our members and have helped members receive a full time at my company. My advice is to talk to recruiters like they are your friend! They want to get to know you and want to help you with your future. They are your best-friend!

Why did you join PAS?: I joined PAS because I wanted to gain an understanding of the inner workings of the organization—specifically how events are planned and what it takes for officers to work together and succeed. Being involved behind the scenes allows me to appreciate the effort that goes into creating meaningful experiences for members. Another important reason I joined was to challenge myself to be more social, interact with others in the field, and build meaningful connections with members. Additionally, joining PAS gave me the opportunity to contribute to an organization that aligns with my career goals.

Why did you join PAS? I joined PAS because I’m passionate about supporting fellow students in their academic and professional journeys. I believe in the power of community and mentorship, and through PAS, I saw an opportunity to connect with others, share resources, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Why did you join PAS?: I joined PAS as a transfer student in Fall of 2024. I was looking to expand my network. I was able to land an internship at a Fortune 500 oil and gas company thanks to this organization. I plan to give back by helping other transfer students and investing my time into PAS.

Why did you join PAS? I joined PAS, because I wanted to be surrounded by a network of students who have the same passion and ambition as me. PAS has helped me discover accounting firms, experience the accountant lifestyle, and has guided me in deciding the next steps after graduating. It has also helped me discover the opportunities, benefits and guidelines of obtaining your CPA. I have gained two internships with PAS, and my advice is to be your genuine self with firms.

Why did you join PAS? I joined PAS to grow my network, gain professional development opportunities, and support my peers in their career journeys. Through PAS, I’ve been able to connect with professionals, improve my communication skills, and learn how to market our organization effectively. Being involved has pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and discover how leadership can make a real difference in the student experience. My advice is don’t be afraid to start conversations with professionals — they’re here to help you grow. Treat recruiters like you’re building a genuine connection, not just asking for a job. The relationships you form now can open doors you never expected.
